I-40 CLOSURE IN RUSSELLVILLE

LITTLE ROCK (7-01) Crews working on Interstate 40 in Russellville will require lane closures on Wednesday night, July 6, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department officials. Weather permitting, the work will begin at 9:00 p.m. that evening and will last until 6 a.m. the next morning.

Construction on the Weir Road Overpass at mile marker 83 requires steel beams to be hung which will necessitate closing Interstate 40 for 15-minute intervals.  The overpass is being widened and converted into a full interchange.

As always, motorists are urged to exercise caution when approaching and traveling through highway work zones.
