RAILROAD IMPROVEMENTS TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE HIGHWAY 43

LITTLE ROCK (7-19)

Crews with Kansas City Southern Railroad will be making railroad crossing improvements on Highway 43 near Siloam Springs that will require the highway to be temporarily closed to traffic on Friday, July 22nd, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department officials.

Travel lanes in both directions on Highway 43 will be closed from 9:00 a.m. to noon, just west of the intersection of Highways 43 and 59, weather permitting.  Detour signs will be in place to direct motorists through the area.

As always, motorists are urged to exercise caution when approaching and traveling through highway work zones.
