AHTD TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETING IN CARLISLE

LITTLE ROCK (9-20)     

     The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Session in Carlisle to discuss plans for improvements to Highway 13, according to AHTD officials.

     The informal session will be held Thursday, October 6, 2005, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church , 319 S. Court Street, in  Carlisle. 

     Plans call for relocating 1.4 miles of Highway 13 on new location west of town.  The project will begin at Highway 70 and extend northward.        The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
