The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold two Public Involvement Sessions in Sherwood to discuss plans for the proposed North Belt Freeway, according to AHTD officials.

            The first session will be held Monday, November 14, 2005, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Brockington Road Church of the Nazarene, 9860 Brockington Road in Sherwood.

     The second session will take place Tuesday, November 15 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Cato Elementary School , 9906 Jackson ville Cato Road in Runyan Acres.

 Plans call for a 12.3-mile four-lane, divided highway from Highway 67 westward to the Interstate 430/Interstate 40 interchange.  The meetings will present previously evaluated alignments in the Sherwood and North Little Rock vicinity along with new alignments in the vicinity of Jackson ville , Gravel Ri dge and Runyan Acres, which are under consideration.

The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
