AHTD TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETING IN JONESBORO

LITTLE ROCK (11-29)     

            The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Session in Jonesboro to discuss plans for improvements to Highway 49, according to AHTD officials.

            The meeting will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2005, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Valley View Intermediate School , 2115 Valley View Drive, in Jonesboro .

            Plans call for widening Highway 49 to four lanes on existing location, extending from Valley View westward to Gibson.

The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
