The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Location and Design Public Hearing in Benton to discuss proposed plans for improvements to Highway 35, according to AHTD officials.

            The meeting will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2005, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Gene Moss Building , 913 E. Sevier Street , in Benton .

            Plans call for constructing a railroad overpass on Highway 35 near the intersection with Highway 183, within the Benton city limits.

            The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
