AHTD TO HOLD PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT IN FAYETTEVILLE

    LITTLE ROCK (4-25) The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Location and Design Public Hearing in Fayetteville to discuss plans for improvements to Highway 265 (Crossover Road), according to AHTD officials.

     The meeting will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2007, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Vandergriff Elementary School, 2975 East Township Street, in Fayetteville.

      Plans call for a major widening of approximately four miles of Highway 265 to include four travel lanes, extending from Highway 45 northward to the city limits. 

     The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.  For more information, contact the AHTD Environmental Division at 501-569-2281.
