AHTD TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARING IN SPRINGDALE

    LITTLE ROCK (4-25) The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Location Public Hearing in Springdale to discuss plans for improvements to Highway 265 (Old Wire Road), according to AHTD officials.

     The meeting will be held Thursday, May 10, 2007, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Bayyari Elementary School, 2199 Scottsdale Street, in Springdale.

      Plans call for widening 1.6 miles of Highway 265 to include four travel lanes, extending from Randall Wobbe Lane northward to Highway 264. 

     The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.  For more information, contact the AHTD Environmental Division at 501-569-2281.
