LANE CLOSURE SCHEDULED FOR INTERSTATE 40 NEAR ATKINS

    LITTLE ROCK (4-26) Crews making improvements on Interstate 40 near Atkins will require a lane closure next week, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

     Crews replacing asphalt will require a lane closure beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 2nd, and ending by 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 3rd, weather permitting.  The lane closure will be located in the eastbound, outside lane, and extend from Mile Marker 94 to 95.5. 

     As always, motorists are urged to exercise caution when approaching and traveling through highway work zones.
