LANE CLOSURES SCHEDULED FOR TWO HIGHWAY 67/167 PROJECTS

LITTLE ROCK (4-26) Crews working on two Highway 67/167 projects will require lane closures next week, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

Weather permitting, crews will shift southbound traffic between Kiehl and Wildwood in Sherwood overnight on Tuesday, May 1. Work will begin at 6:00 p.m. and be completed by 6:00 a.m. the next morning. The contractor recently completed new northbound lanes of this section, and will use the next year to remove, widen and rebuild new lanes on the southbound side.

As part of this work, the contractor will have to move the southbound Brookswood on-ramp and close the Wildwood off-ramp. Temporary ramps will be in utilized in the area over the next several months. Message boards will be in place to alert drivers.

North of Sherwood, crews working on Highway 67/167 between Highway 440 and Redmond Road will close a northbound lane on two consecutive nights to move traffic. The closure will be between 7:00 p.m. and Noon on both Wednesday, May 2 and Thursday, May 3.

As always, motorists are urged to exercise caution when approaching and traveling through highway work zones.
