STREET CLOSURES SCHEDULED IN NORTH LITTLE ROCK CONSTRUCTION ZONE

    LITTLE ROCK (5-10) Crews working on the rehabilitation of Interstate 40 and the Levy Bridge in North Little Rock will require street closures next week, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

     Pike Avenue, in the vicinity of the Levy Bridge, will be closed from Monday, May 14th  at 9:00 p.m. until Tuesday, May 15^th at 6:00 a.m. and from Tuesday, May 15^th at 9:00 p.m. until Wednesday, May 16^th at 6:00 a.m. while crews work on the bridge, weather permitting.  Detour signs will be in place to direct traffic to McArthur Drive (Highway 365). 

     On Wednesday, May 16^th, beginning at 9:00 p.m., McArthur Drive will be closed.  It will reopen on Thursday, May 17^th, at 6:00 a.m.  It will be closed again on Thursday, May 17^th at 9:00 p.m. until Friday, May 18^th, until 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.  Traffic will be routed to Pike Avenue while bridge work is underway.

     As always, motorists are urged to consider an alternate route and exercise caution when approaching or traveling through highway work zones.
