LITTLE ROCK (7-20) 

       The Ark ansas St ate Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Design Public Hearing in Gould to discuss plans for improvements to Highway 65, according to AHTD officials.

       The meeting will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2007, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Gould High School, 305 South Mississippi, in Gould.

      The hearing will address two separate projects that will widen Highway 65 to four lanes.  The work will begin at Highway 159 at Mitchellville and extend northward for approximately ten miles, including the stretch through Gould.   

     The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.  For more information, contact the AHTD Environmental Division at 501-569-2281.
