LITTLE ROCK (10-9) 

    Crews applying a protective coating to the concrete components of the Levy Bridge in North Little Rock will require street closures in the area this week, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

     Pike Avenue , in the vicinity of the Levy Bridge , will close on Wednesday, October 10th  at 9:00 p.m. and reopen Thursday, October 12^th by 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.  Detour signs will be in place to direct traffic to McArthur Drive (Highway 365). 

     On Thursday, October 11th, beginning at 9:00 p.m., McArthur Dr ive in the area beneath the bridge will be closed.  It will reopen on Friday, October 12th, by 6:00 a.m., weather permitting  Traffic will be routed to Pike Ave nue while bridge work is underway.

     As always, motorists are urged to consider an alternate route and exercise caution when approaching or traveling through highway work zones.
