AHTD TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETING IN JASPER

    LITTLE ROCK (10-23) 

     The Ark ansas St ate Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Meeting in Jasper to discuss plans for improvements to Highway 7 and County Road 213, according to AHTD officials.

     The meeting will be held on Thursday, November 1st, 2007, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Newton County Senior Center , 100 East Clark , in Jasper.

     Plans call for replacing bridges on Highway 7 over the Buffalo River and County Road 213 over Mill Creek.  Additionally, passing lanes and other safety improvements are being proposed along Highway 7 between Jasper and the Buffalo Ri ver .
