AHTD TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETING IN CASH


    LITTLE ROCK (11-27) 

    The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Meeting in Cash to discuss plans for improvements to Highway 226, according to AHTD officials.

     The meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2007, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Cash City Hall , 4391 Highway 18 South, in Cash.

     The project will widen 11.7 miles of Highway 226 to a four lane, divided highway beginning at the new location of Highway 67 and extending eastward through Cash to Gibson. 

      The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.  For more information, contact the Arkansas State Highway & Transportation Department’s Environmental Division at 501-569-2281.
