AHTD TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETING IN JONESBORO

    LITTLE ROCK (12-5) 

     The Ark ansas St ate Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Meeting in Jonesboro to discuss plans for improvements to Lawson Road , according to AHTD officials.

     The meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2007, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the cafeteria of Valley View Intermediate School , 2115 Valley View Drive , in Jonesboro .

     The proposed project will widen 1.2 miles of Lawson Road to three lanes extending from Mt. Carmel Road eastward to South Culberhouse Road . 

      The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.  For more information, contact the Arkansas State Highway & Transportation Department’s Environmental Division at 501-569-2281.
