AHTD TO HOLD DESIGN PUBLIC HEARING IN MONTICELLO


LITTLE ROCK (01-03)    

     The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Design Public Hearing in Monticello to discuss proposed plans for improvements to Highway 35, according to AHTD officials.

     The meeting will be held Thursday, January 12, 2006, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Monticello Economic Development Center, 211 W. Gaines, in Monticello.

     Plans call for constructing 1.5 miles of Highway 35 on new location in the Rose Hill area to serve as a connector highway between Highway 35 West and Highway 425. 

     The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
