Crews working on the rehabilitation of Interstate 40 in North Little Rock will require a lane closure and a road closure February 13^th through February 15^th, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

     One eastbound lane of Interstate 40 near the Levy interchange, from mile marker 151 to 153, will be closed beginning at 9:00 a.m. and continuing until approximately 6:00 a.m. the following morning for three consecutive days, weather permitting.  This work will involve moving barrie r walls to accommodate a shift in the travel lanes.  Both eastbound lanes will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m daily.

     In addition, a nighttime road closure will be in place on Pike Avenue in the vicinity of the Levy interchange February 13^th through February 15^th.

     Crews will be erecting a safety platform on the Levy bridge, weather permitting.  A detour route will be in place during the road closure period beginning at 9 p.m. and continuing through 6:00 a.m. the following morning for three consecutive evenings. 

     As always, motorists are urged to consider an alternate route and exercise caution when approaching and traveling through highway work zones.
