After a review of the comments received, the preferred line as identified
in the FEIS was approved as the Selected Alignment Alternative in the ROD.
The alignment can be viewed at www.arkansashighways.com
under the “Publications” tab. This
decision was based upon a review of the impacts outlined in the environmental

U.S.
Fish and Wildlife Service, and consideration of public comments collected
throughout the environmental review process.
In addition, the
U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency has given a “Lack of Objection” rating to
the project.
The next step in project development for the Springdale Bypass will be to
complete surveys and proceed with design work.
A design public hearing will be held in the area upon completion of
preliminary design to solicit comments on the more exact layout and right of way
requirements of the bypass.
