CLOSURES SCHEDULED FOR NORTH LITTLE ROCK CONSTRUCTION ZONE

LITTLE ROCK (2-24)

Crews working on the rehabilitation of Interstate 40 in North Little Rock will require two street closures according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

Highway 365 (McArthur Drive), in the vicinity of the Levy Bridge , will be closed February 28th through March 3rd beginning at 9:00 p.m. each evening and continuing until approximately 6:00 a.m. the following morning for four consecutive days, weather permitting.  This work will involve removal of the existing westbound Interstate 40 Levy Bridge.

In addition, approximately one block of Burks Avenue will be closed from 34th Street to Pike Avenue beginning March 6th and extending through the end of summer.  The closure will allow for the construction of the new westbound Interstate 40 bridge overhead.

Detour signing will be in place at both locations to direct traffic through the area.

As always, motorists are urged to consider an alternate route and exercise caution when approaching or traveling through highway work zones.
