Lane Closures in Sherwood and North Little Rock

     LITTLE ROCK (4-14) The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will require lane closures on two North Little Rock area construction projects over the next couple of weeks, according to AHTD officials.

     Beginning on Monday, April 17, contractors working on I-40 in North Little Rock will have to close one westbound lane to shift traffic near the I-430/Crystal Hill area from 7:00 pm until 2:00 pm the next day. The daily work is scheduled to be complete by 2:00 pm on Friday, April 21. The contractor is expected to move to the eastbound side beginning Monday, April 24 with closures between 9:00 am and 6:00 am the next day. Weather permitting, all work should be complete by Friday, April 28.

     Changes will also be occurring in the Highway 67/167 work zone in Sherwood next week. One southbound lane between Kiehl and Wildwood will close overnight on Wednesday, April 19 from 6:00 pm until 6:00 am the next morning as traffic is shifted. Over the next several weeks, concrete barrier walls will be placed as all traffic through the area will be shifting to the southbound side.

     Motorists are urged to consider an alternate route and exercise caution when approaching and traveling through highway work zones.
