Highway 270 Malvern Bypass Open

LITTLE ROCK (4-19) Contractors for the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department have completed work on the Highway 270 Malvern Bypass, according to AHTD officials. The roadway will open during the day of Thursday, April 20.

Workers will be in the area uncovering new signs and removing all the barricades throughout the day. The roadway should be fully open by early afternoon.

The 4.4-mile, $15 million project is a new roadway that connects I-30 just east of the Malvern Exit at mile marker 98 with the intersection of Highway 270/Highway 67 near Pearla. McGeorge Contracting Company of Pine Bluff was the prime contractor for the project that included a new interchange at I-30.
