LITTLE ROCK (4-14) The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Meeting in Lake Village to discuss plans for proposed improvements to Highway 82 and Highway 65, according to AHTD officials.

     The meeting will be held Tuesday, May 9, 2006, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Lake Village Fire Station, 2017 Highway 65/82, in Lake Village.

     Plans call for improving Highway 82 to four lanes, extending from Fairview eastward to the Mississippi River Bridge.  A second project would widen Highway 65/82 to four lanes extending from Fairview westward to the Tourist Information Center.  Both jobs could possibly be on new location.

     The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
