LITTLE ROCK (5-4)  A contractor for the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will be performing work in the westbound lanes of Interstate 30 in Saline County over the weekend, according to AHTD officials.

            The work will take place on the inside and center lanes of Interstate 30 westbound beginning near the Bryant interchange and extending west to near Hurricane Creek.  Weather permitting, work will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 5 and lanes will reopen by 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 8. The outside lane will remain open the entire time, as will the one-way frontage road. 

Message boards will be in place before the construction area. As always, motorists are urged to consider an alternate route and exercise caution when approaching and traveling through highway work zones.
