Work Continues on Interstate 30

LITTLE ROCK (5-10)  A contractor for the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) who began work in the westbound lanes of Interstate 30 in Saline County last weekend says work will continue this week, according to AHTD officials.

The work will be continuing Thursday (May 11), Friday (May 12) and Monday (May 15) on the inside and center lanes of Interstate 30 westbound beginning near the Bryant interchange and extending west to near Hurricane Creek.  Weather permitting, work will begin at 7:00 p.m. and lanes will reopen by 11:00 a.m. each day. The outside lane will remain open the entire time, as will the one-way frontage road.

Message boards will be in place before the construction area. As always, motorists are urged to consider an alternate route and exercise caution when approaching and traveling through highway work zones.
