Routine Maintenance on Highway 49 Mississippi River Bridge


    LITTLE ROCK (7-7) Routine maintenance will be performed on the Highway 49 Mississippi River Bridge in Helena-West Helena, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

     Work will begin on July 11 and will take place from 7:30 am until 5:00 pm each day, Monday through Thursday, for the next three weeks, weather permitting.  The work will require lane closures.  Flaggers and/or portable traffic lights will be in place to direct traffic through the area during the affected hours.

     As always, motorists are urged to exercise caution when approaching or traveling through highway work zones.
