LITTLE ROCK (7-14) Crews working on placing new asphalt on Highway 7 in Dardanelle will require a lane closure according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

     The northbound, outside lane on Highway 7, from 5^th Street to Front Street, will be closed July 24th and July 25th beginning at 7:00 a.m. each day and continuing until approximately 6:00 p.m., weather permitting.  Once the northbound lane is completed, crews will move to the southbound, outside lane on Highway 7 at the same location for similar work.  The southbound, outside lane will be closed on July 26^th and 27^th from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

     During construction, the center turn lane will be temporarily converted to a travel lane so motorists will continue to have two travel lanes in each direction. 

     As always, motorists are urged to exercise caution when approaching or traveling through highway work zones.
