Public Meeting to be held in Little Rock

    LITTLE ROCK (7-24) The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement meeting in Little Rock to discuss plans for improvements to the Interstate 430/630 interchange in west Little Rock, according to AHTD officials.

     The meeting will be held Tuesday, August 1st, 2006, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Immanuel Baptist Church, 500 North Shackleford Road, in Little Rock.

     Plans call for redesigning the Interstate 430/630 interchange in order to ease congestion and move vehicles more efficiently.  Plans include adding two flyover ramps to provide direct access for vehicles moving from one Interstate to another, and elevating the lanes connecting Interstate 630 and Financial Centre Parkway. 

     The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
