Lane Closure on Highway 7 in Russellville

LITTLE ROCK (8-10) Crews working on improvements to Highway 7 in Russellville will require lane closures next week, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

Crews doing chip sealing in the outside lanes on Highway 7, between Highway 7 Spur and Highway 247, will require lane closures on Wednesday, August 16th.  Weather permitting, the southbound outside lane will be closed in the morning beginning at 8:00 a.m. until mid-day.  The northbound outside lane will be closed from mid-day until approximately 5:00 p.m.  Work should be completed on Wednesday, however, there is a possibility it could extend into Thursday.  Signing will be in place to direct traffic through the area.

Motorists are urged to consider an alternate route, if possible, or reduce their speed when approaching or traveling through highway work zones.
