PUBLIC MEETING TO BE HELD IN BOONEVILLE


    LITTLE ROCK (10-05) The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Meeting in Booneville to discuss the status of Highway 23 as a Scenic Byway in Logan County, according to AHTD officials.

    The meeting will be held Tuesday, October 24, 2006, at 6:30 p.m. at The Meeting Place, 114 W. Main, next to the First Western Bank in Booneville. 

     Highway 23 in Logan County, excluding the portion within the city limits of Booneville, is under consideration for removal as a Scenic Byway.

     A brief presentation will be made followed by a question and answer session.  The public is invited to attend in order to ask questions and offer comments.
