AHTD TO HOLD PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT MEETING IN EUREKA SPRINGS

    LITTLE ROCK (10-12) 

     The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement meeting in Eureka Springs to discuss plans for improvements to Highway 23, according to AHTD officials.

     The meeting will be held Tuesday, October 24th, 2006, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Eureka Springs Elementary School, 156 Greenwood Hollow Road, in Eureka Springs.

     Plans call for constructing a 1.2-mile passing lane on Highway 23 between Eureka Springs and Highway 12 in Madison County.  The passing lane will be for southbound traffic.   

     The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
