AHTD TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETING IN PRESCOTT

    LITTLE ROCK (10-30) The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement meeting in Prescott to discuss plans for improvements to Highway 24, according to AHTD officials.

     The meeting will be held Thursday, November 9th, 2006, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Prescott Elementary School, 335 School Street, in Prescott.

     Plans call for widening Highway 24 to three lanes with curb and gutter, extending from Second Street eastward to approximately 500 feet beyond Ash Street. 

     The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
