LITTLE ROCK (1-9) 

     Crews will be performing routine maintenance this week on the Interstate 540 Bridge over the Arkansas River between Fort Smith and Van Buren, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

     Weather permitting, the inspection will require closure of the northbound, outside lane from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, January 10^th and on Friday, January 11^th.

     As always, motorists are urged to use an alternate route if possible and to exercise caution when approaching and traveling through highway work zones.
