AHTD TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETING IN BLYTHEVILLE

    LITTLE ROCK (5-5)

     The Ark ansas St ate Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Meeting in Blytheville to discuss plans for improvements to Highway 18, according to AHTD officials.

     The meeting will be held on Thursday, May 15th, 2008, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Blytheville Middle School , 700 West Chickasawba Street , in Blytheville .

     Plans call for constructing a railroad overpass on Highway 18 in the downtown area.  Two alternative locations for the project will be on display at the meeting. 

      The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.  For more information, contact the Arkansas State Highway & Transportation Department’s Environmental Division at 501-569-2281.
