NEWS EVENT NOTIFICATION

WHO:                         Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials, local elected officials and others.

WHAT:                       A brief ceremonial event to open the new I-40 Interchange in Conway .

WHEN:                       Friday, May 2 at 10:00 am – rain or not

WHERE:                    The event will take place at the new I-40 Eastbound on ramp. To access the site, travel west on Highway 64 for a half-mile from Highway 25 (Exit 124 on I-40).

WHY:                          The new I-40 Interchange is a $9.1 million project to add an additional Interstate Interchange in (western) Conway . Along with a $3.5 million project (that will be completed this summer) to widen Highway 64 and add a traffic signal at the new Interchange site, the project will provide much needed congestion relief at and near Exit 125 and on Harkrider Street.
