Highway 79B Bridge Reopened

February 25, 1997 -- The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department will reopen a bridge that has been closed for the last two weeks on Highway 79 Business just north of Camden. The bridge will reopen on Wednesday, February 26 at 12:00 noon. The bridge was closed for repairs to ensure the safety of the traveling public.

The road will be reopened between the junctions of Highway 7 and Highway 79 Bypass on Highway 79 Business. The bridge crosses a relief of the Ouachita River.

The closure was prompted by a localized failure at one of the bridge joints.
