Lane Closure on I-40 Bridge at Exit 84 Near Russellville

February 27, 1997 -- A contractor for the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department will be closing a portion of I-40 near Russellville on Tuesday, March 4. The contractor will be working on the overpass that carries Highway 331 over I-40 at Exit 84.

The construction is scheduled to take place between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., weather permitting. Multiple lane closings will take place only on the westbound lanes for approximately 15 minutes at a time.

The contractor is setting new beams on the overpass and immediately after the beams are in place the Interstate will be reopened to traffic.
