Notice to MediaINTERSTATE REPAIR TO CAUSE LANE CLOSURESMarch 7, 1997 -- Crews from the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department will be repairing sections of I-30 and I-440 beginning on Monday, March 10. The AHTD will be making improvements to the guardrail on I-30 near the Broadway exit in North Little Rock, and concrete repairs to the westbound lanes of I-440 at the Lindsay Road exit in Little Rock are scheduled for next week. Work on the guardrail will take place on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday on the eastbound lanes of I-30 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. The right lane of traffic will be closed during those hours. Work will continue on to the westbound lanes on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The westbound right lane will be closed following the same schedule, weather permitting. Repairs to the concrete pavement of the westbound right lane on I-440 will cause the closure of the Lindsay Road exit as well as a quarter-mile section of the Interstate. Crews will close the exit and lane beginning at 9:00 a.m. Monday until 5:00 a.m. Tuesday. Motorists are urged to use the Fourche Dam Pike exit during the closure on I-440.
