Bridge Inspection to Cause Closure on Mazarn Creek in Garland County


September 18, 1997 -- Crews from the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department will be conducting a routine inspection on the Highway 227 Mazarn Creek Bridge Monday, September 22, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers. The bridge will be closed for three hours beginning at 10:00 a.m., weather permitting.

The bridge is located south of the Sunshine community in Garland County, between Highway 70 and Highway 270. Motorists should use alternate routes and allow extra time during the bridge closure period.

The bridge will reopen and normal traffic flow will resume at 1:00 p.m.
