Overpass Repairs to Cause Lane Closures on I-30

October 10, 1997 -- Crews from the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will be making repairs to the Highway 183 overpass at Bryant beginning Monday, October 13, according to Dan Flowers, AHTD Director. The repairs will necessitate closing one lane of the westbound lanes of I-30 under the overpass while work is taking place.

The project is needed to repair damage caused when the overpass was struck by an over-sized truck on August 11. The damage was not serious enough to warrant closing the facility, but the repairs on needed to maintain the structural integrity of the bridge.

All the work will take place between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, weather permitting. It is expected to take approximately two weeks to make the repairs.
