AHTD Announces Preferred Route in Morrilton

April 9, 1998 -- The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) has selected the northern alternate for the Highway 132 project in Morrilton, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers. The Arkansas State Highway Commission proposes to construct Highway 132 on new location between Highway 95 and Highway 9B. Total length of the project is 1.2 miles.

The selection was made after reviewing the various impacts of each route and after careful consideration of the large number of comments made at a public meeting held by the Department on February 3 in Morrilton.

Construction on the new project could begin late next year.
