Notice to MediaAHTD to Open New Ramp on Highway 67/167LITTLE ROCK (7-30) -- The existing ramp on southbound Highway 67/167 in North Little Rock connecting the highway with the eastbound lanes of I-40 will be replaced with a new flyover ramp on Monday, August 3, according to Dan Flowers, Director of the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department. The new ramp will be open to traffic by 12:00 noon on Monday. The existing ramp, which serves southbound traffic wishing to exit to Interstate 40 eastbound toward Memphis, will be replaced by a flyover ramp located on the right side of the highway. Previously, traffic was required to exit Highway 67/167 on the left side of the highway to continue on I-40 eastbound. The new ramp allows safer traffic movement in every direction. This ramp is a portion of a $16.18 million project to improve traffic flow and ease congestion in the McCain Boulevard/I-40/US 67/Springhill Drive area of North Little Rock. The Hardaway Company of Columbus, Georgia is the contractor for the project. "The new ramp can handle traffic in a safer manner than the old ramp that is being removed," Flowers said. "This is an example of our ongoing efforts to improve traffic flow and safety," he added. #### For Further Information Contact:
