AHTD to Hold Public Meeting on Proposed Sheridan Bypass

LITTLE ROCK (8-24) -- The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a public meeting on the proposed Sheridan Bypass, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

The meeting will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 10 at the Sheridan High School Auditorium located at 700 West Vine.

The AHTD is currently updating the Sheridan Bypass Study to determine the optimal alignment for a Highway 167 Bypass of Sheridan. This informal open house public meeting is being held to give citizens the opportunity to comment on this project and participate in the planning process. All interested citizens and community organizations are encouraged to attend the meeting.

The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view exhibits and offer comments. Aerial photographs showing the various alternative route location corridors under consideration will be displayed and Department personnel will be available to discuss the proposed design and answer questions.
