Inspection to Cause Intermittent Lane Closure on Main Street Arkansas River Bridge

LITTLE ROCK (12-3) -- Crews from the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department will be performing a routine inspection on the Main Street Bridge over the Arkansas River beginning December 8, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

The bridge links Little Rock and North Little Rock. The inspection is scheduled to begin Tuesday, December 8 and continue through Wednesday, December 9, weather permitting.

To accommodate the equipment, intermittent closures of the north and southbound outside lanes will be required between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. each day. The lanes will be open and normal traffic flow will resume at the end of each workday.

Motorists may want to use alternate routes or allow extra time during the repair period.
