Notice to MediaAHTD to Hold Meeting in RussellvilleLITTLE ROCK (12-8) -- The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department will hold a public meeting to receive comments on a proposed bypass in Russellville, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers. The meeting will be held on Thursday, December 17, 1998, at the Russellville Chamber of Commerce located at 708 West Main. The meeting will be an informal open house/public forum from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. followed by a brief presentation of the alternative routes at 6:00 p.m. The City of Russellville identified the need for a southeastern bypass in their recently completed Master Street Plan. The City has requested that the Department conduct a planning study to determine the feasibility of possible alternatives for a bypass route between Interstate 40 and Highway 7. This meeting is being held to give citizens an opportunity to comment on the route alternatives for the long-range planning study. All interested citizens and community organizations are encouraged to attend the meeting, view the exhibits and offer comments. Aerial photographs showing the various route location corridors will be displayed and Department personnel will be available to answer questions. #### For Further Information Contact:
