Highway Maintenance to Cause Lane Closure

LITTLE ROCK (5-28) -- Crews from the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department will be repairing the shoulders along Highway 67/167 in Jacksonville beginning next week, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

Crews will begin the repair work on the southbound inside lane of the highway on Wednesday, June 2 and continue through Thursday, June 3, weather permitting. The repair area is located between Vandenberg Blvd. (Exit 11) and Redmond Rd. (Exit 8).

To accommodate the equipment, one lane of traffic will be closed between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. each day. Both lanes will be open and normal traffic flow will resume at the end of each workday.

Motorists may want to use alternate routes or allow extra time during the repair period.
