Highway Commission Seeking Bond Counsel


LITTLE ROCK (6-24) – The Arkansas State Highway Commission has begun the process of selecting a bond attorney for the upcoming highway construction bond issues, according to Dan Flowers, Director of the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department. The Commission is seeking Letters of Interest from interested firms or individuals.

The individual or firm selected will be responsible for advising the Commission and handling legal matters pursuant to the issuance of bonds under the provisions of Act 1027 of 1999. The Commission is seeking relevant information from parties interested in becoming bond counsel.

The Letters of Interest must be received by the Commission no later than 4:30 p.m. Monday, July 19, 1999. It is anticipated the Commission will make a selection on or before August 20, 1999.
