Lane to be Closed on Highway 365

LITTLE ROCK (7-9) -- Construction on a project to widen the Highway 365 overpass on I-40 at Morgan will force a temporary lane closure of the highway starting Monday, July 12, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

Beginning at approximately 9:00 a.m. on Monday morning, one lane will be closed at the Highway 365 and Highway 100 (Maumelle Boulevard) intersection. The contractor will be placing asphalt on the highway throughout the day. The lane closure will take place through Wednesday, July 14 between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., weather permitting.

The overpass is being widened as part of a project to widen Highway 365 (Old Conway Highway) to five lanes from Highway 100 (Maumelle Blvd.) to the I-40 interchange. Mobley Contractors of Morrilton was awarded a $4.5 million contract for the work which is expected to be complete by mid-2000.
