Maintenance to Cause Lane Closures on I-430 Arkansas River Bridge

LITTLE ROCK (7-30) -- Crews from the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department will be performing routine maintenance on the I-430 Arkansas River Bridge, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

In order to minimize inconvenience to motorists, work will only be done in off-peak hours on two consecutive Sundays. The initial maintenance work will force the closure of the inside and center southbound lanes on Sunday, August 1. The inside and center northbound lanes will be closed on the following Sunday, August 8, weather permitting.

During the work period, traffic will be restricted to the outside lane between 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. each day. The lanes will be open and normal traffic flow will resume at the end of each workday.

Motorists may want to use alternate routes or allow extra time during the maintenance period.
