Construction to Cause Lane Closures on I-430 Near Arkansas River Bridge

LITTLE ROCK (9-10) – A contractor for the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department will be constructing a concrete median barrier wall south of the I-430 Arkansas River Bridge beginning Monday, September 13, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

In order to minimize inconvenience to motorists, work will only be done in off-peak hours beginning on Monday and continuing through Friday, September 17. Starting at 9:00 a.m. each day, both the north and southbound inside lanes of I-430 between Rodney Parham and the Arkansas River Bridge will be closed to traffic. The work will continue throughout the day when lanes will be reopened by 3:00 p.m., weather permitting.

Motorists may want to use alternate routes or allow extra time during the construction period.
